FTDI Chip USB to RS232 DB9 Male Converter Cable

This FTDI chipset USB to RS232 DB9 converter cable is designed to add a native RS232 serial COM port to modern laptops and desktops that lack legacy serial interfaces. Built with genuine FTDI FT232R high-performance chipset, it provides ultra-stable serial communication with support for baud rates from 300bps up to 921.6Kbps, full parity modes and hardware flow control (RTS/CTS). The integrated 128-byte RX / 256-byte TX FIFO buffers effectively reduce CPU load and ensure smooth data transmission even under continuous high-load operation. It features COM port retention technology — the assigned COM number remains unchanged after reconnection or system reboot, eliminating repeated configuration for industrial software.

The DB9 male connector adopts gold-plated contact pins for oxidation resistance and reliable connection, with built-in Level-4 ESD protection (15kV air / 8kV contact) to safeguard connected equipment from electrostatic damage. The cable uses tinned copper conductors with foil shielding to suppress EMI/RFI interference, maintaining signal integrity in noisy industrial environments. The molded strain relief structure enhances bending resistance and extends service life for frequent plugging and on-site use.
