DC 5.52.1mm Male to Female Pigtail Power Cord

This DC 5.52.1mm male to female pigtail power cord is a common DC power extension cable used in security surveillance, networking, LED lighting and low-voltage power distribution systems. It allows users to extend the distance between a DC power adapter and the end device, making it easier to install CCTV cameras, wireless routers, LED strips and other 5.52.1mm DC powered equipment. It is especially useful when the original power adapter is too short or when multiple devices need to be powered from a central power supply.

The cable uses a standard 5.5mm outer diameter DC barrel connector with a 2.1mm inner pin, which is one of the most widely used DC power connector sizes for consumer electronics and security equipment. The male connector plugs into a DC jack or female extension port, while the female connector receives a standard 5.5*2.1mm male power plug. This combination provides a simple and reliable way to extend DC power without modifying the original device connector.

Conductors are made of copper for good conductivity and stable power delivery. The 20AWG version is suitable for short-distance extension of low-power devices such as cameras, routers and LED strips. The 18AWG version is recommended for longer cable runs, higher-power LED strips or applications where lower voltage drop is required. Both connectors are fully molded with strain relief structures to reduce bending stress at the cable root and prevent internal wire breakage caused by frequent plugging, pulling and installation movement. The PVC jacket provides basic abrasion resistance and flexibility for indoor and protected outdoor installations. For outdoor use, it is recommended to route the cable through a conduit or weatherproof enclosure to protect the connectors and cable from moisture, dust and UV exposure.
