Description

This DC Y-splitter power cable is a cost-effective power distribution solution for low-voltage DC systems. It splits a single DC power output into two independent ports, allowing one power adapter to power two devices simultaneously. It eliminates the need for additional power adapters and wall outlets, reducing wiring clutter and simplifying installations for security surveillance, LED lighting, smart home and networking setups.

The standard configuration features one DC barrel female input connector and two DC barrel male output connectors, compatible with the widely used 5.5×2.1mm interface standard. This design plugs directly into a standard DC power adapter and delivers power to two separate devices such as CCTV cameras, LED drivers or network routers. Custom configurations including 1 male to 2 female, and other connector sizes such as 5.5×2.5mm and 3.5×1.35mm are available for bulk OEM orders to match different system architectures.

The central Y-junction is fully molded with integrated strain relief, distributing pulling and bending stress evenly across the trunk and both branch cables. This prevents wire separation and internal connection damage caused by installation movement, cable routing and long-term vibration. All connector ends also feature molded strain relief structures to protect the conductor-to-terminal joints from fatigue failure.

Internally, the cable uses high-purity tinned copper conductors for stable power transmission and minimal voltage drop across both output branches. The input trunk typically uses 20AWG conductors to handle the combined current of both devices, while each output branch uses 22AWG or 20AWG conductors for balanced power delivery. The 18AWG heavy-duty version is available for higher-current applications such as high-brightness LED strips and multi-camera setups. All versions are rated for typical 12V and 24V DC power systems.
